Why the name TAC

Tack is a word used in the equine world. It is a general term for the leather accessories you put on your horse (saddles, bridles etc.) The TAC range of leather collars  and leads are produced in bridle or Equine leather because it is a SUPERIOR QUALITY LEATHER that wears and handles beautifully in all conditions.

TAC products

TAC products are all handmade in small batch quantities.  We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship using only the finest materials available.  Producing in smaller quantities allows our craftsmen to make sure that every piece gets the attention it deserves and results in the highest level of quality.   Bridle leather is hand cut and prepared using select grade steer hides.  All of our products are hand stitched by leather craftsmen.  TAC products only use the finest grade solid, brass hardware available. To finish the process, the leather is then dyed, edged and hand rubbed; this softens the edges of the leather and draws the natural oils out producing an elegant, soft-to-the-touch finish.  The Brass buckle & D ring are then attached,  Last but not least the brass plate is engraved and attached.

About ME

Growing up a country gal on the South Coast of NSW, now living in the Sydney, I find myself caught between two worlds -  I love the simple country lifestyle but also enjoy the modern feel of the city.   Design is in my blood. I am a jewellery designer and have a company called CODE LOVE, offering beautiful jewellery with hidden morse code messages. TAC has brought my two worlds together, my love of animals and my love of design.  The elegant, contemporary, yet simple design of TAC brings together FORM & FUNCTION.

I have always been very drawn to animals,  from the very first time I touched a horse that was it - I was in love.  I have been lucky enough to have had my life filled with these beautiful, intuitive creatures. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life too.  I love their unconditional love, loyalty, adventurous spirit and the joy they bring to a family.

Currently we have 2 dogs in our family:   Chester - English Staffy, quite literally the best dog ever & Olive - Bitzer, super cute but a little naughty, we love them dearly.   Our Olive is still a pup and can be quite a terror, at times my husband Richard threatens her with being returned to the Sydney Dogs & Cats home,  I hope she knows he doesn't mean it.
